Sycamore Boys regained the GMC Championship trophy with a 93 point win over their Mason rivals.  The girls finished second to Mason.  However, Senior Alex Norris had an outstanding meet breaking two meet records,  one in the 200 Free and again in the 100 Back.  In the backstroke, Alex broke her own record from 2009 and also defeated the top GMC backstroker, Danielle Jansen from Sycamore.  It was a tight race the whole way with Alex out touching Danielle at the finish by .15 seconds.  Alex also won Swimmer of the Meet as voted on by the coaches.

 

The girls placed second in the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay.  The 200 Free Relay placed 5th.

 

The boys team won the 200 and 400 Free relay and placed second in the 200 Medley Relay.  Manuel Gutierrez won the 200 IM and the 100 Free as well as helping the team in the free relays.  Steve Winkler, Ben Keefe and Patrick Aguilar placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively in the 200 Free.

 

In Diving, Alex DiMasso placed 3rd, Jenni Williamson 4th, Sara Wesselkamper 6th and Jenna Ruff 9th.  Drew helped the boys cause with a 4th place finish.

 

Congratulations to all the swimmers and divers!  Great Job!!!  Keep it going for Sectionals this coming weekend!!!
